Opened in June 1997, Farallon is a collaboration between restaurateur/designer Pat Kuleto and Chef Mark Franz. Located in the heart of San Francisco's Union Square, the restaurant combines a unique atmosphere and the finest coastal cuisine.

Pat and Mark recognizing the demand for large parties, have created three private dining rooms on the fourth floor above the restaurant. Located in the historic Elks Building, which now houses the restaurant and the Kensington Park Hotel, the design of the private dining rooms is a continuation of the underwater theme in the restaurant.

The Sevruga Room, the smallest of the three, seats up to 18 guests in a cozy atmosphere. This room is complete with a hand-blown glass aquarium, candlelit fireplace and a wine library. With its 10-foot French windows overlooking Union Square, the Osetra Room seats up to 50 guests. Beautiful porthole paintings are the perfect accent to this room. The largest of the three rooms, the Beluga Room, seats up to 120 guests. French doors lead you to a grand ballroom of a luxury ocean liner that has sunk to the bottom of the sea. Inside the ballroom sea creatures are having a party. You are invited to join them!

All of the private dining rooms are serviced from their own kitchen under the direct supervision of Chef Franz. The private dining menus are selected seasonally by Chef Franz from the ever changing menus in the main dining room. He uses only the freshest ingredients to create innovative, delicious presentations. Pastry chefs Emily Luchetti & Don Hall are creating mouthwatering desserts for you to enjoy.
